HONEY CITRUS MINT TEA a.k.a. Medicine Ball Review

Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed your holidays ! This is the first blog of 2019 for the Care’s Lair site and boy is it a great time to share this review. I am almost sure that some of you have suffered a nasty cold over the past few weeks and I am here to help prepare you for your next nose blaster. You know it’s bound to happen in the future so why not gather up the goods ahead of time?

I found out about this little ‘Secret Starbucks Menu Item’ through a Christmas present that I was given recently. I’m an avid tea drinker so naturally I gave this a go right away. I didn’t have a cold or anything at the time but who can resist a nice hot comfy drink in the cool winter weather? Apparently this drink also goes by the names ‘Citrus Defender’ & ‘Cold Buster’ but for the purpose of this review I am going to go by ‘Honey Citrus Mint Tea’.

The ingredients are as follows:
1 Crystal Light Pink Lemonade Packet
1 Bag Of Teavana Jade Citrus Mint Tea
1 Bag Of Teavana Peach Tranquility Tea
1 Tablespoon Of Honey

*** The ingredients can totally be substituted and do not have to be brand related. You can use regular lemonade, it’s not necessary to use juice crystals. You can also use any mint and/or any peach tea. I will be mixing it up myself down the road as well.

The instructions are pretty damn simple. Boil water, add ingredients and enjoy! The first time I tried this drink it was like a sucker punch of citrus right to the palate. It was a weird taste but not one that I didn’t like or was it? It was an explosion of many flavors all at once it was sweet, bitter, warm and sour. I’m not going to lie, it took a few sips for me to get use to it but once I did it was a great tasting drink.

As far as the whole ‘it will cure a cold’ I can’t 100% confirm that statement because as I mentioned before I didn’t have a cold at the time, I’m just a big tea lover. If you have a cold and choose to try this out drop me a line and let me know how it worked for you. I would be interested in knowing what you think.
